Welcome to the About Section! For the longest time, this page on EPICponyz has made little to no sense. Well, I’ve decided to provide a bit of history of the site. It’s somewhat lengthy, but explains alot.

So, how did EPICponyz start? Lets go back to late 2007. During that time period, I was a frequent visitor to G4’s Attack of the Show Stickam Chat. Back then, it was just a bunch of nerds hanging out together, which eventually evolved into The Nerdiest Kids. Everyone loved to rib each other in it, and somewhere along the way, a inside joke began. If I remember correctly, it was by one known as UzamakiJ, who said I liked ponies. Being a good sport, I went along with it.

Months went by, and then a very strange event occurred. The interactive producer, Steve Norman (at the time) was loading up the X-Play Stickam Chat. While in the hall, he bumped into a huge stuffed bear that Attack of the Show was using for segments that week. For some bizarre reason, we egg’d him on to kiss it. He did. On the lips. Even better, someone managed to get a screencap of it. It was edited for a “character card” of G4 Staff, and a certain person thought it’d be cool for everyone to change their profile picture to it.

I felt a little bad for doing it, so I gave him my account information, and let him “rearrange” my profile page. It was easily described in one word—PINK! Along with a giant Pony in the background, the jokes began. TechieMike, however, remarked at how “EPIC” it was to see “PONYZ” on my profile. Thus, EPICponyz was born.

The original idea was to have something like LOLcats or FAILdogs. As you can clearly see, that idea fell through QUICK. I’m not gonna lie. The first few months of EP were rough. I genuinely didn’t enjoy posting content, so I decided to rework the site. Now, it’s cut down to a video/photo blog with the occasional wrestling post. Infact, if you’ve gonna start looking at this site, I suggest you go from this post on.

Side note: I know the look of the site isn’t that “WOW” or anything, but I really don’t see the point on taking the site somewhere else. It’s very simple so you can enjoy the content on it. Thank you for reading this, and please bookmark EPICponyz when you get a chance.
