Night Shade’s mission is to create various forms of experimental storytelling. Artist’s Liz Allen, Sarah Frechette, Jason Thibodeaux, & Alain Z, along with composers Oviedo Menedez and Blake Madden have fused together as ‘Night Shade’. Based out of SW Portland, we blend illustration, puppetry, music and light with supernatural and modern aesthetics into bewitching cinematic theater.

Serious Note: G4 cutting back

18 02 2009

31260_l

It saddens EPICponyz to learn that G4 announced today that they’re cutting back. This week, the network has layedoff a few employees and decided to change the schedule.

X-Play, which upped its production schedule back in December, will now be reduced to three original episodes per week. Attack of the Show will now air four original episodes per week. Both shows will scale down starting March 2. Although G4 would not comment on “personnel matters,” it could confirm that fewer episodes did result in a staff reduction. Cost saving will go into “more original programming in 2009.” The network was clear to state that “this is not a budget cut” and G4 “remains dedicated to these core franchises.”

WWE No Way Out Tonight!

15 02 2009

9297972

Tonight at WWE No Way Out, ten men will risk their bodies in one of the most ominous matches in WWE history. Created in 2002, the Elimination Chamber is designed to punish anyone who sets foot in it. Its components of chain, glass, and solid steel make it ‘Satan’s Structure’—-especially for defending champions Edge and John Cena.

For the RAW Elimination Chamber, World Heavyweight Champion John Cena will defend his title against Kofi Kingston, Mike Knox, Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho, and Kane. Cena has survived the chamber match before, but it doesnt seem the odds favor him tonight.

Nor does it seem that the odds favor WWE Champion Edge. In the Smackdown Elimination Chamber, Edge will try to survive the likes of The Undertaker, Triple H, The Big Show, Vladimir Kozlov, and Jeff Hardy. Can the Rated R Superstar pull a victory out of his bag of tricks? Or is it ‘Game Over’ for Edge?

Also tonight, Randy Orton will face Shane McMahon. After punting Vince McMahon in front millions world-wide, Shane vows to make sure Randy doesn’t make it to Wrestlemania 25.

Head over to WWE.com to find out how to order WWE No Way Out.

Video(s) of the day

11 02 2009

We don’t know why we haven’t changed the title of this to ‘Videos of the Day’ officially yet, but we’re working on it. Today we have three videos. One is the 5 Unbreakable rules for a Steven Seagal flick. The second is a short film that is pretty entertaining. Don’t worry about length, it’s only twelve minutes. Last is an AWESOME audio clip from the Adam Corolla show with one Billy Mays. He talks about the infamous Shamwow spokesman. Enjoy!

Video of the Day

22 11 2008

brokencydefail

Today’s video of the day comes from the always awesome Attack of The Show. This past Friday, for their EPIC FAIL segment, they decided to tackle a music video that has been surfacing across the internet the past few months. The video, for the song “FreaXXX” by BrokeNCYDE, is honestly one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen. Although BrokeNCYDE considers their style of music “Crunkcore”, really, the only thing going through your mind when you watch this will be ‘what the hell!’ Hey, I guess there’s a style of music for everyone. Ironically enough this seems like someone I’d listen to if I was having a bad day….make that a REALLY bad day. Not to mention, this video seems like it was done in one take without even caring what it was promoting. Check out the video below to decide for yourself. Honestly, try not to laugh.

Indecision 2008

5 11 2008

whodyouvotefor

Last night on Comedy Central, a tradition grew. That tradition being the “Indecision” special held on that network every time there is a presidential race. Back in 2000, when the first of these aired, it received instant praise. The flagship show, aka The Daily Show, became so big even, that they made The Colbert Report. Since then, these two shows have drawn a huge amount of ratings for the network, and even a few Emmy awards. After a long overdue “reunion”, last night both Stephen Colbert, and Jon Stewart sat side by side at the same desk to release the results of the race. With smart humor, and quick punch lines, who cant love this? This episode is sure to keep people laughing and talking throughout the next four years of Obama’s Term. Check out this classic episode IN FULL over at The Daily Shows main website. But please, go fast. You don’t know how long it might be up.

Kevin Smith talks Toilets

18 10 2008

Last night on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Kevin Smith was on talking about a not so pleasant trip to the bathroom. Smith went on to even admit it was because of his increased weight, which hes trying to prevent, that this incident happened. But Smith wasn’t just there to talk about toilets, he was there to promote his upcoming movie “Zack and Miri Make a Porno“. I really had little to no interest in seeing this movie, but now that I know Kevin Smith is directing it, I’m definitely seeing it. Check out the video of Smith on The Tonight Show by clicking here.

On TV Tonight

17 10 2008

Tonight on TV, the Halloween spirit grows. TNT will be running “The Ring“. The Ring isn’t exactly the best horror film ever. Matter of fact, I wouldn’t even rank it in the top 50 horror films. To me, it was just cheesy. After you saw it your friends called your phone saying “SEVEN DAYS!”. Yeah, that kinda got old. Also on tonight is the debut of the new show “Crash“. After our review yesterday, we hope you watch it online when your bored at least. It airs tonight on STARZ. Enjoy!

On TV Tonight

14 10 2008

Tonight on TV is a new game show on ABC. It doesn’t seem to be getting much hype, but its called “Opportunity Knocking“. Basically its like Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, but instead of doing something you’d like them to do, they stuff crew equipment into your house.. Once in, your family is asked to answer questions for money. Isn’t this called breaking and entering? lolz Yeah, I really don’t see ABC renewing the contract for this show. So, If you want to watch it, go for it. Enjoy?

On TV Tonight

13 10 2008

Tonight on TV is the debut of a new show. That show is “My Own Worst Enemy” starring Christian Slater. Yesterday we gave you a little review of it, and we still feel that everyone should give this show a watch. It airs tonight at 10 PM EST on NBC.

EPICponyz Review: My Own Worst Enemy “Breakdown”

12 10 2008

If you haven’t heard by now, NBC is set to launch the TV Show “My Own Worst Enemy” on October 13, 2008. Thanks to modern technology, the first episode already appears for free online via Amazon. Granted I had some time today, so I decided to sit down and watch it. And might I say, there is potential here. A LOT of potential. Read the rest of this entry »

New Street Fighter IV Trailer “WOW”s

10 10 2008

Yesterday a brand new trailer for the next installment in the Street Fighter series was released. This trailer shows off some jaw dropping new gameplay mixed with anime cutscenes. Street Fighter IV has been widely praised since its release into arcades a few months ago, and now it moves towards a full console release. I for one am very excited to play this game. It just looks so awesome, how can you not want to play it. To catch the full trailer from the Tokyo Game Show, click below.

Sackboy just wants some love…

9 10 2008

The Tokyo Game Show is in full force, and so much news has piled out of it already. One game being hyped at it is the highly anticipated “Little Big Planet“. Over at Kotaku, they posted a strange video of Sackboy following around a woman, to which she practically ignored him. Who doesn’t love a giant stuffed sack? Wheres the love!?

On TV Tonight

8 10 2008

Tonight on TV are a few shows and one great movie. The first show airing tonight is “Private Practice” on ABC. A show with Taye Diggs…win? Also on tonight is the show “Lipstick Jungle.” Apparently this show has been around for some time now, and is widely liked. Check it out tonight on NBC. And lastly, “I,Robot” starring Will Smith will be airing on FX tonight. This movie is really good, and you should definitely make an effort to watch it. Enjoy!

On TV Tonight

6 10 2008

Tonight on TV is a pretty good show, and a movie that many seemed to enjoy. The new season of “Boston Legal” began  few weeks ago. Tonight on ABC it continues with Episode 3 of Season 5. I’ve been a fan of this show since it spun off from “The Practice“, and must say it’s really good. Also on tonight is the movie “Troy“. Never really sat down to watch this, but I have heard it’s great. If you want to catch it tonight, check out AMC.
